Handy Removals Terms and Conditions

There is a minimum charge of two hours which applies to all jobs. After the first two ours, we increment the price in a half hour base.

The time of the job only starts when the driver arrives to the pickup address, and it stops when we finish the job.

The will be a extra charge for removals going out of the M25 circle, this charge depends on the how far out we have to go. For more information on this charges send us a email with your details and we will tell you how much it will cost.

There is a minimum packing charge of £80.00 for packing services.

If during you job we have to go thought the Congestion Charge Zone, a charge of £8.00 will be added to the final price of the job.

Parking is to be arranged by the customer therefore if there is a cost on pay display, visitor’s permit and parking fines, this cost will be paid by the customer.

Jobs running over the estimated completion time will be charged at half hour increments.

Job arrival time is estimated. Although we do our best to be on time, circumstances out of our control may cause delays.

Payments

Payment can be made in cash or by credit/debit card. For all payment made with card, 3.5% will be added to the total cost of the job.

Postponement or Cancellation

If you postpone or cancel your removal up to 24 hours before the booking time, you won’t have to pay any charges. If you postpone or cancel within the 24 hours before booking time, you will be liable of paying for one hour of the service booked and for larger jobs, you will be charged the value of your deposit. We reserve the right to cancel or change dates and times.

Staff Abuse

Verbal or threatening behavior will not be tolerated. If the driver is forced to leave the job because of abuse from
the customer verbal or otherwise the customer will still be liable to pay in full

Name of the Insurer The insurer of the policy is Aviva Insurance Limited trading as Norwich Union.

This policy is designed to meet the legal liability insurance needs of hauliers, warehouse keepers, couriers, and freight forwarders for loss or damage to customers’ goods, in accordance with the conditions of contract, carriage or trading specified in the policy schedule.

Excess – £250.00

VERY IMPORTANT

In order to be covered by our goods in transit insurance, the customer must supply the removal contractor (Handy Removals) with a full list of the goods been transported before the removal job takes place.
