This is a water proof, self adhesive carpet protective film that can be applied to the stairs. This isn’t normally offered as a standard by most man and van or low cost moving company, therefore, the movers would have to be notified in advance and it may incur an extra cost. It cost on average £15.00 for 10 metres of cover.
Pros – It is very simple to apply / remove, and it does not leave any residue on the carpets.
Cons – Nothing that I am aware.
